The Materials Testing Engineer I will perform hands on testing in our Marietta, GA Super Lab. This position will be responsible for load, hydrostatic pressure, and lifecycle testing on a wide range of components, assemblies, and systems. The engineer will conduct custom tests, design and fabricate test-specific fixtures, and utilize multiple systems simultaneously to generate data. The engineer will have a 90-day training period to review the level of proficiency in testing techniques, use of equipment and specifications.
Responsibilities:
Learn and follow testing and setup procedures, techniques and specifications
Perform basic coding with custom test scripts
Build and fabricate custom test rigs and fixtures as need
Learn and adhere to safety procedures
Prepare work orders in accordance with QAP for testing to be performed
Perform test programs and procedures to written instructions
Interpret and evaluate results, communicate to customers effectively
Generate reports and documentation as required
Procure supplies for lab with appropriate approvals
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field; or equivalent experience
0-2 years of experience in testing environment; some experience in beverage machine testing is desired but not required
Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn testing techniques, procedures and specifications
Ability to perform test programs and procedures to written instructions
Demonstrated ability and willingness to be hands on with tools, machinery, equipment and materials used in testing
Good communication skills with the ability to engage with customers to report basic information and collaborate with team members
Computer proficiency, Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to lift 50lbs or more each day
Ability to set up and utilize the required test equipment
