Automated Test & Verification Engineer

Full-Time with an Employee Owned and Best Places to Work Contractor

Onsite in Huntsville, AL | Schedule: 9x80

Estimated Salary Range: $90,000 - $160,000

 

The selected engineer will support the Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Weapon System (GWS) program as an individual contributor on the Architecture & Delivery (A&D) Automated Test & Verification (ATV) Team. This role develops and supports test automation software products that enable execution of the GWS contract on behalf of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA).

 

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, integrate, test, and deploy software products that support automated test and verification efforts
  • Contribute to software development activities across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements, design, development, integration, testing, and deployment
  • Partner with product teams to develop technical solutions that support program objectives
  • Support Agile development activities and participate in team execution using collaboration and configuration management tools

 

 

Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
  • Active Secret Clearance required
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field from an accredited institution
  • Professional experience in one or more phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including software design requirements, application development, integration, testing, or deployment
  • Professional software development experience using Python or similar programming languages
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Fisheye/Crucible, and Bitbucket

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline
  • Experience developing technical solutions in collaboration with product teams
  • Experience with test automation software development.
  • Experience using Jenkins and Elasticsearch
  • Experience serving in Agile/Scrum leadership roles such as Scrum Master or Product Owner
  • Current CompTIA Security+ certification
