BTI supports mission-critical programs across defense and civilian agencies, with core expertise in cybersecurity, program management, enterprise IT, and technical oversight services.
BTI is currently searching for a Test Engineer to fulfill the roles and responsibilities below:
Roles and Responsibilities
The Test Engineer performs testing and verification of code, reporting and recording defects, coordination with the developers on testing and testing results, documenting test scripts, participating in design reviews, user acceptance testing, and pre-deployment performance testing activities.
The individual will play a key role in ensuring compliance of supported applications with Section 508 standards to ensure applications are accessible to people with disabilities.
This individual will also perform performance testing of the application for stability, speed, scalability, and responsiveness.
They will work in an Agile environment and participate in product planning, development, and deployment activities.

Experience/Qualifications
- Undergraduate college degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, statistics, mathematics, or other discipline related to the requirements of this project, or equivalent experience.
- DHS Trusted Tester certification or the ability to gain certification within 90-days.
- At least 3+ years of experience with Section 508.
- At least three (3) to seven (7) years of work experience in Software Development Lifecycle process focusing on test engineering, or equivalent work experience in an agile environment.
- 3-5 years of experience with load testing, stress testing, and other performance testing of web
- 1-3 years of experience in developing written test scripts and test cases.
- Experience in developing, executing automated test plans.
- Experience in using GitLab CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and integration is preferred.
- Has knowledge of WCAG 2.1 A and AA / Section 508 accessibility standards and best practices, and experience with remediation.
- Experience using JIRA or other project management software.
