Test Engineer - 2 Positions

Position Description:

Outpost Technologies is seeking a highly skilled and motived Test Engineer to support government testing efforts.  

 The Candidate will work on a multi-disciplinary team to support test planning, operations, data collection, data analysis, and data management for government testing environments. This position requires up to 50% travel. 

Communication skills are strongly desired. The Candidate must be self-motivated and produce excellent work that exceeds customer expectations. The Candidate must always present a professional demeanor while representing Outpost Technologies to customers and stakeholders. 

The posted compensation range represents the expected pay range for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation may be higher or lower than the stated range based on factors such as relevant experience, education, certifications, specialized expertise, geographic considerations, market conditions, and alignment with internal compensation structures and government contracting requirements.

Position Responsibilities:

• Travelling to support tests at various CONUS locations. 

• Support system operation, data collection, and analysis during/after test events. 

• Create and follow equipment care and maintenance procedures. 

• Design and execute test plans, analyze test data, and document test results. 

• Assist with detailed technical documentation, including design documents, integration plans, test procedures, and user manuals. 

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or related field. 

• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the year. 

• Must be a U.S. Citizen. 

• Immediately eligible for
  a security clearance (Secret level or higher). 

• Time management and planning skills. 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

• Willingness to go above and beyond to exceed customer expectations. 

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of applicable experience. 

• Active security clearance (Secret level or higher). 

• Experience with the Department of Defense (DoD) organization and DoD testing. 

• Familiarity in EO/IR systems for test and evaluation instruments. 

• Software development experience with object-oriented programming languages and compiled languages (Python, Java, C++)
