This is an Onsite position working 5 days from our North Texas DC located in Justin, Texas

About the role
The Systems Engineer will work with customers to provide timely and professional support while maintaining hardware and software lifecycles, and documenting issues/resolutions for internal IT teams.
Responsibilities
25% Provide first level contact, log tickets, and convey resolutions to customer issues.
25% Deploy and maintain hardware and software in production environment. Manage warranties, repairs and firmware upgrades. Patch existing software according to vendor requirements and company SLA.
15% Properly escalate, track and redirect problems to correct resources.
10% Utilize excellent customer service skills, provide feedback and see problems through to resolution
10% Maintain hardware and software inventory.
5% Document training materials, procedures and update knowledge base.
5% Participate in hardware and software evaluations.
5% Other Duties as assigned.
Knowledge, skills & abilities requirements
- 1-2 years in related fields
- High School Education, Technical certifications or 2 + years’ experience preferred.
Industry certifications (A+, Network +, CCNA, CCNP, MSCA, MCSP, Mobility+)

Working conditions & physical requirements
- The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, retail stores, and residences or commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.
- The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, files, books, small parts; using a keyboard, driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
