System Test Engineer, Junior level

Quecon, Inc. is currently seeking System Test Engineers to support the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) mission and vision to provide highly qualified, professional, and technical resources to satisfy agency requirements. Qualified candidates will perform a variety of duties to support the FAA customer in achieving both their short- and long-term goals. The ideal candidate will be assisting with test-related activities such as front-end, back-end, performance, risk-reduction and regression testing of various software or hardware components of FAA's Air Traffic Control (ATC) Systems. The position requires interaction with other System Test Specialists, Software Engineers and System Engineers along with interface to FAA Customers. Duties will include, but limited to, conducting tests to use in evaluating, debugging, and checking equipment and systems for accurate and dependable conformance specifications.

The applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for a Position of Public Trust. Must be a US citizen or 3-year permanent resident.

Reporting Facility Location:  William J. Hughes Technical Center (WJHTC) in Pomona, NJ.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience or a Masters in Engineering and 2 years of relevant experience required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Experience with LINUX/UNIX operating environment
• Ability to perform execution of engineering tasks in support of system integration, operational readiness, deployment and sustainment activities
• Experience in testing and system validation
• Ability to interpret system requirements, interface specifications, and configuration documentation
• Proficient in command line tools for file and directory management, process monitoring, and basic troubleshooting
• Experience executing supporting scripts, batch processes
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work as a team and/or independently under general guidelines or objective

*Minimal travel will be required.

Salary range:  $60,000 - $85,000
