Halogen Engineering is looking for a System Administrator/System Engineer who will be a part of a Technical Services (TS) program for an agency within the Department of Defense to review third party A/E work; conduct studies, analysis, testing and measuring; perform specialized engineering services, planning and design reviews; commissioning services; construction oversight on worldwide delivery orders, and information technology (IT) support.  TEAM: The FACIT team is to provide the following capabilities: Implementation Sustainment Transformation (including decommissioning), Project Management Risk Management  The technical and program management support will also improve the level of efficiency and effectiveness with the customer systems capabilities by delivering industry best practices and standard business processes. Salary Range

The projected compensation range for this position is 188K- 194K (annualized USD).

Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.

Requirements

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator/Systems Engineer performing administration, engineering, or design in support of system engineering, software development, or related activities.
  
• Hands-on experience with any of the following technologies and applications:
  
• Linux system administration
  
• AWS-based architecture/design/provisioning
  
• Python
  
• Perl
  
• Cross-domain solutions
  
• RESTful web services
  
• Experience with any of the following a plus:
  
• Java/Javascript
  
• NiFi
  
• Docker
  
• Kubernetes
  
• Atlassian suite (Jira, etc.)
  
• Ability to work in both Windows and Linux environments a strong plus.
  
• Must be able to work in a flexible/fluid environment.
