Digital Consultants is seeking a qualified System Administrator to manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of the organization’s IT systems and applications for our work at Fort Huachuca, AZ.
Duties to include:
- Provide technical support services for the Testbed Operations and Facilities Division.
- Provide system administration to the JITC FHU Testbeds and its customers for the computing environment infrastructure.
- Manage hardware and software for information systems within multiple enclaves, classifications, and facilities, both local and distributed.
- Provide S/A support for both physical and virtual servers, zero clients, thin clients, and workstations.
- Provide IT Tier 2-3 support in support of task.
- Manage, maintain, and provide design services for the Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) suite of software.
- Develop complex reports, workflows and ticket automation.
- Configure, monitor, and maintain security posture of environment through log analysis, access controls, configuration management, Security Content Automation Protocol, ACAS, HBSS, etc.
- Develop, maintain, and update topology diagrams such as, Risk Management Framework (RMF), Cybersecurity Architecture Description, and Standard Operating Procedures experience.
- Use designated ticket application for incident, service, problem, application request, configuration, and change management.
- Account for and audit/inventory all software and licenses by system (virtual or physical), location, device, and license number.
- Maintain 100% accountability of assigned classified information using the provided accounting software.
- Support, baseline, maintain, backup, and restore virtual machine templates in the compute environment.
- Create and maintain hardened common operating system blueprints and templates for quick deployment capability.
- Develop, and maintain the Master Password List for applicable systems, and workstations.
- Patch, remediate, or develop Plan of Action and Milestones for all Security Technical Implementation Guides and Information Assurance Vulnerability Management vulnerabilities.
- Troubleshooting installation, integration, and operation of automation and test tools, models, and simulations.
- Upgrades, modifications, or integration of new hardware and software.
Requirements
- Must be familiar with various programing languages (such as; C++, Java, Python, etc.).
- Experience with developing automation tools. Able to quickly learn and become proficient with new software applications and tools.
- Good oral and written communication skills. Good analytical and critical thinking skills. Have practical and working knowledge of standard Microsoft Office applications (word, ppt, excel, outlook, etc).
- Clearance: Secret
- Education/Experience: Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 2 years experience; or an Associate’s degree with at least 6 years of experience; at least 60 semester hours of formal education working towards an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree and at least 6 years of experience; or 8 years of experience. Additional certifications (other than those required for the position) in the area of specialization be substituted for experience or education but varies by certification. The degree must be in a relevant technical curriculum and experience must be related to the job duties.

- Certification: CompTIA Security+ or IAT level II equivalent
Preferred Skills
- Experience with creating user interfaces to allow data collectors to retrieve and analyze data from various federated web services.
- Experience creating browser interfaces to interface with services, APIs, and to present results (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, etc.).
- Experience with automating Web queries and/or data analysis. Experience developing and testing in Linux and Windows environments.
- Ability to read and analyze XML and JSON documents.
- Experience with Apache Kafka, Microsoft Report Builder, Wireshark, Portecle, NetBeans, Microsoft.
- Structured Query Language servers and databases.
- Experience with PKI and SSL/TLS security procedures.
Additional Duties/Desired Skills:Manages the daily activities of configuration and operation of the organization’s IT systems and applications. Assists in the installation, maintenance, and general support of IT systems. Identifies and resolves problems associated with operating systems. Analyzes and resolves problems associated with server hardware/software and applications software. Detects, diagnoses, and reports related problems on both server, desktop, and mobile IT systems. Assists users with questions or issues related to accessing and using IT systems. Installs new software releases and system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches, and resolves software related problems. Performs system backup and recovery procedures. Maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity. Performs system capacity analysis and planning, and optimizes system operation and resource utilization. Develops and implements policies and procedures to ensure that systems support the organization's business requirements and meet the needs of end users.
