You will identify any problems in the system, anticipate issues and repair systems and software when necessary.  The Day-to-Day: Oversees the installation, configuration and maintenance of server systems, personal computers, wireless networking, server racks and other related equipment, devices and systems. Troubleshoots systems and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational difficulties. Researches, recommends and designs infrastructure for servers and associated systems. Implements policies, administers firewall, applies public key encryption to network applications, manage host security and file permissions. Participates in the evaluation and makes recommendations regarding the purchase of computers, server hardware, peripheral equipment and software. Works as a hands-on team member and supervisor with other technical staff, such as Helpdesk, security, development and reporting. support technicians to ensure connectivity and compatibility between systems. Acts as the liaison between System Administration team and all internal and external customers Ensures compliance with industry standards, methodologies, and expectations of work for System Administration and Helpdesk Teams. Performs additional related tasks and projects as required and assigned.
