Job Description:The Genetics Institute is seeking qualified, enthusiastic and motivated applicants to fill the position of part time student OPS non clerical IT Desktop Support. This position provides first-level research and resolution and refers to second-level support when higher technical skills are required to resolve the issue. Assists with the installation and implementation of desktop and mobile computing devices, printers and other peripheral devices, wireless computing and communications devices. Perform new system installations, image and deploy workstations, troubleshoot and support general office and research related applications including but not limited to email, documentation, spreadsheets, stream live video and specialized networking printing. Workstations repair, upgrades and troubleshooting. Support an extensive variety of peripherals like printers, Scanners, Copiers, projectors, faxes and latest smartphone devices. Support Mac and Windows operating systems
Expected Salary:Salary commensurate with experience and expertise.
Required QualificationsUF student and two years of relevant experience; will consider students in relevant computer sciences programs. Industry certifications A+, Net+, Server+, MCP, CCENT, RHCE, ACMT can substitute for 1 year of relevant experience for each certification. Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences can substitute for 2 years of relevant experience.
