Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Software Test Engineer to strengthen our quality-focused engineering team. Your work will directly support the reliability and safety of a complex connected medical device. You will design robust test coverage, lead validation efforts across multiple platforms, and ensure that every software release meets the high standards required in regulated environments. Additionally, you will work closely with other software engineers to design and implement integration tests.

Role Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including plans, protocols, results, reports and design reviews.
  • Define acceptance criteria and partner with engineering and product teams to ensure alignment.
  • Drive the QA process for new software releases, including planning, test execution, defect triage, and release readiness assessments.
  • Ensure testing practices align with relevant medical software standards and regulations.
  • Design, implement, and maintain integration tests for cloud, desktop, and mobile applications.
  • Build automated test suites to verify end-to-end workflows and system behaviors.

Role Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Significant experience developing integration tests and automated test frameworks using Python.
  • Experience testing distributed systems across cloud, desktop, and mobile environments.
  • Experience managing software verification and validation (V&V) for medical devices per IEC 62304.
  • Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background testing complex, data-rich applications.
  • Exposure to hardware-software systems or connected device ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with accessibility and usability considerations in test design.
Salary
$140,000$190,000 USD
