Position Summary

Odyssey Systems has an exciting new opportunity for a System Test Engineer to join the team. As the Test Engineer, you will be responsible utilizing your technical expertise to provide program test support, professional services, engineering technical services that improve policy making, decision-making, management, administration, program management, or research and development activities.

 

The Program Office supports and sustains the Shared Early Warning architecture for fourteen partner nations, three NATO locations, Ramstein AFB GE, Stuttgart AB GE, MacDill AFB Fl, Hickam AFB HI, and Peterson SFB CO Provides timely, accurate Theater & Strategic space-based Missile Early Warning Information to partner nations using common standardized HW/SW (COTS/GOTS), enhances US strategic and regional stability objectives and coalition knowledge of incoming missiles and missile launch information, 24-hours per day, 365 days per year. 

 

This is a full-time role at Peterson SFB in Colorado Springs, CO, with remote flexibility four days per week when not traveling.


Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to: 

 

  • Support and conduct strategic planning consistent with program direction, resources, and objectives established by higher authority; make recommendations for improving division processes and products
  • Support road-map planning, development and review
  • Help lead acquisition strategy analyses and program planning processes
  • Analyze programs and develop sound, efficient and effective strategies
  • Use experience, expertise and skill set to advise, assist, and recommend actions to the Government Division/Branch/Program Offices on consistency and continuity of requirements, objectives and planning/programming
  • Develop, prepare, staff and review Early Strategy and Issues Session and Acquisition Strategy Panel briefings
  • Support the development, management, and monitoring of program and project-integrated master schedules
  • Advise Government personnel on contractor performance issues and risks
  • Prepare briefings and reports
  • Present Government briefings
  • Assist in risk assessments
  • Apply cost analytics and data processing skills to provide advice and assistance on technical evaluations and realism, balance, and reasonableness assessments of proposals
  • Support requirements definition, development, configuration management, test (all phases), risk management, system security engineering, operations and organizational/intermediate/depot-level, maintenance (all types), planning/programming, implementation/deployment of solutions, review, and development of system technical baseline documentation
  • Develop standardized test processes
  • Support management of the SEWS Integration and Test Facility (ITF) to include technical refresh of equipment.

 

 


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Citizenship: Must be a US Citizen

Clearance: Must have a valid DoD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret

Education: Bachelor's degree

Years of Experience: 8 years of experience as a Project/program Manager; OR, 

  • Master's Degree with 6 years of experience as a Project/Program Manager

Additional Experience: 

  • Demonstrate intermediate knowledge of their technical/professional discipline as well as possess a comprehensive understanding and ability to apply associated standards, procedures, and practices in their area of expertise.
  • Experience writing, reviewing, and executing Test Plans, Topologies, and MS Project Schedules

Preferred Qualifications:

Clearance: Active DoD Top Secret clearance

Certifications: PM level II certification, DAWIA Program Management Level III certification (or equivalent)

Education: MA/MS in a related field

Years of Experience: 7 years of acquisition Program Office and related staff experience, with 5 years of DoD 

 

Additional Experience:

  • Knowledgeable of Foreign Military Sales
  • Knowledgeable of C2 Systems
  • Knowledge of Ground-Based Radar and Infra-Red systems
  • Knowledge of Missile Warning operations
  • Knowledgeable in Global Command and Control Systems
  • Knowledgeable in Cross Domain Solutions
  • Previous active-duty military experience

Additional Information:

Location: The position is performed at Peterson SFB, located in Colorado Springs, CO (Building address: 130 West Paine St, Peterson SFB, CO 80914).

Travel: Travel might be required up to 25%

Hybrid: Remote flexibility four days per week – subject to change per the customer’s discretion
