Salary Range: $100k-$115K (based on experience

Description:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Systems Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to operational excellence.

Join a high-impact team responsible for optimizing and securing the Defense Logistics Agency's enterprise Windows environments. As a Senior Systems Administrator, you will lead daily operations, drive process improvements, and help shape the future of DLA's mission-critical IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• -Oversee the stability, security, and performance of DLA's Windows systems and network connections.

• -Plan, develop, install, configure, maintain, and optimize network software and communication links.

• -Organize and manage information management systems, resolve end-user software and connectivity issues, and conduct capacity and performance analysis with actionable recommendations.

• -Drive team efficiency through automation, process refinement, and targeted training. Provide comprehensive support for operational systems, including maintenance, upgrades, and new installations across multiple locations.

• -Mentor and lead system administrators, optimizing system resources and user support.

• -Apply advanced knowledge of application networking, load balancing, and fault tolerance while spearheading vulnerability management initiatives.

• -Lead daily Windows Server administration across NIPR and SIPR networks - both on-premises and on-the cloud.

• -Responsibilities include; patching, STIG and ACAS remediation, Active Directory and Group Policy management, performance monitoring, PowerShell automation, and vulnerability management. Supervise and mentor a team of system administrators to ensure operational excellence.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum ten (10) years of progressive, specialized IT experience in Information Processing, including a range of hardware and software solutions
• At least four (4) years of direct, hands-on experience installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting software
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering)

DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification at IAT Level II – One (1) of the Following: (ex., CompTIA Security+ CE, CySA+, GIAC GSEC, GICSP, EC-Council CND, ISC2 SSCP, Cisco CCNA Security) or IAT Level III (ex., ISC2 CISSP or Associate, ISACA CISA, CompTIA CASP+ CE, GIAC GCED, GIAC GCIH, Cisco CCNP Security, ISC2 CCSP)

Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority – One (1) of the Following: (ex., Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Okta Certified Administrator, ISA CCST Level I, CISA ICS Cybersecurity, Infoblox CDCA, GIAC GCWN, MCSE: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure, Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Foundations Associate, Microsoft 365 Messaging Administrator Associate, AWS Certified Security Specialty, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional or Associate, Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate)
