Position Summary
T&T is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to provide operations, maintenance, sustainment, cybersecurity, and technical support for the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Richmond Electronic Marquee System at DLA Weapons Support Center in Richmond, Virginia.
The Senior Systems Administrator serves as a key technical resource responsible for maintaining the availability, security, configuration, and performance of the Daktronics Venus Control Suite (VCS) environment and associated systems. The position supports software maintenance and upgrades, troubleshooting, system configuration, vulnerability management, cybersecurity compliance, and Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities. The environment includes Daktronics Venus Control Suite and GS6 electronic display systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, configure, troubleshoot, and optimize software systems, applications, and associated network connectivity.
- Provide local and remote system administration, maintenance, upgrades, and installation support.
- Support the Daktronics Venus Control Suite (VCS) software environment, including software maintenance, upgrades, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Monitor vendor software releases and coordinate installation of approved VCS software updates.
- Analyze and resolve system, software, connectivity, configuration, and performance issues.
- Perform system security patching, software upgrades, and configuration and policy changes.
- Implement and maintain applicable DISA Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) requirements.
- Perform vulnerability management and support remediation of findings identified through vulnerability scans and STIG reviews.
- Support Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) activities and remediation of cybersecurity findings.
- Support DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) cybersecurity activities in coordination with DLA cybersecurity personnel, including the ISSE and ISSM.
- Apply required software patches and updates and support Assessment and Authorization and related cybersecurity activities.
- Develop and maintain system administration procedures, technical documentation, configuration information, and knowledge-transfer materials.
- Support system architecture, authorization boundary, data flow, hardware/software inventory, CONOPS, PPSM, FIPS 199, cybersecurity scan, STIG/SRG, control assessment, and POA&M documentation as required.
- Identify Daktronics hardware issues and coordinate reported problems and replacement requirements with Government personnel.
- Respond to system outages or reported problems and coordinate on-site diagnostic support within required response times. The PWS requires coordination and commencement of on-site diagnostics within 24 hours of notification, followed by a repair/status report within the next hour.
- Provide technical recommendations regarding system configuration, upgrades, capacity, performance, and technology direction.
- Provide end-user assistance and training as required.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation supporting monthly reporting and Government deliverables.
Minimum Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in a technical discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of specialized information technology experience, including progressive experience across multiple information-processing disciplines.
- At least four years of concentrated, hands-on experience installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting software environments.
- Demonstrated experience with systems administration, software installation and configuration, system maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Experience performing vulnerability management and supporting cybersecurity compliance activities.
- Active Secret clearance.
- IT-I Critical Sensitive / Tier 5 (T5) investigation at the time of proposal submission.
Certification Requirements
- Security+ CE
- Required security and industry competency certifications must be current before beginning work and maintained throughout contract performance.
- Must possess applicable operating system/computing environment certification for systems on which privileged System Administrator duties are performed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting DoD or DLA environments.
- Experience with Daktronics Venus Control Suite, Venus 1500, or comparable digital display/control systems.
- Experience with Windows 10/11 administration and .NET-based applications.
- Working knowledge of RMF, DISA STIGs, POA&Ms, NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-171, and NIST SP 800-82.
- Experience supporting ACAS, SCAP, WebInspect, or comparable vulnerability assessment tools.
- Experience developing RMF artifacts, system diagrams, hardware/software inventories, CONOPS, PPSM documentation, FIPS 199 categorizations, and STIG/SRG checklists.
- Experience supporting industrial control systems or operational technology environments.
Work Location and Schedule
The majority of work is performed at the DLA Weapons Support Center, 8000 Jefferson Davis Highway, Richmond, Virginia. Alternate worksite performance may be authorized by the Government.
The position requires the ability to respond to technical issues requiring on-site support. DLA Richmond standard business hours identified for troubleshooting support are 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Eastern Time.
