Position Overview

Every release we ship serves families living with dementia. As our Senior QA Engineer, you are the guardian of that trust. You will design and own the quality strategy for a platform that connects family caregivers, clinical care teams, and health plans by leveraging hands-on Playwright and Postman automation, sharp manual and exploratory testing, and disciplined release management to make sure every build is safe, accurate, and ready for the people who depend on it. If you love hunting down edge cases, sweating the details that protect patient data, and helping an Agile team move faster without breaking things, this role is built for you.

About Us & What We Do

Ceresti is on a mission to reduce avoidable hospitalizations and improve care for people living with dementia while improving the lives of their families and caregivers. We envision a world in which family caregivers of people living with dementia are supported and have the knowledge, skills, and confidence to provide the best possible care for their loved ones.

Ceresti is a tech-enabled dementia care provider with a differentiated model of care that improves outcomes and delivers guaranteed cost savings by including family caregivers in the care team. We offer health plans and accountable care organizations a turnkey solution for impacting a population that has limited engagement in traditional clinical programs.

Our culture is rooted in agility, innovation, and collaboration. We believe that every idea — no matter how small — can spark a meaningful improvement. We work in cross-functional Agile teams that move fast, ship often, and learn together. Together, we create solutions that make a lasting impact on the healthcare ecosystem, enabling more compassionate and cost-effective care for those who need it most.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end quality for the Ceresti platform across web, mobile, and backend services

• Design, build, and maintain automated UI test suites in Playwright (TypeScript or Python)

• Build and maintain API test suites in Postman/Newman, covering REST endpoints, authentication, and contract validation

• Execute manual, exploratory, and regression testing for new features, bug fixes, and edge cases that automation can’t (yet) catch

• Lead release management activities: coordinate release readiness reviews, manage release candidates across environments, write release notes, and run go/no-go sign-off

• Partner with developers, product managers, and clinical stakeholders during sprint planning, refinement, and retrospectives to bake quality in from the start

• Define and track quality metrics such as escaped defects, automation coverage, flake rate, mean-time-to-detect, and use them to drive continuous improvement

• Integrate test execution into our CI/CD pipelines so every pull request and every deploy is validated automatically

• Champion accessibility, HIPAA/PHI safeguards, and data integrity in every test plan

• Mentor engineers on test design and the craft of writing testable software

• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket Pipelines, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI) and integrating automated tests into them

• Comfort writing SQL (Postgres a plus) to verify data flows and back-end state
