What You Will Do
- Develop test equipment based on system level performance requirements.
- Design test stations for production factories, customer sites, and engineering needs.
- Build and maintain optical test stations throughout the factory supporting multiple programs.
What You Will Learn
- Best practices for leading the full lifecycle of optical test station development, including metrology, methodology, calibration strategy, data driven improvement, and mentoring engineers in advanced optical testing.
- How to translate complex optical system performance requirements into scalable, production‑ready test architectures used across factories and customer environments.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience.
- Experience with optical metrology and test equipment calibration including development of procedures and uncertainty analysis compliant to ANSI Z540.
- Experience in deriving and implementing technical requirements of complex optical systems and test equipment.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Advanced proficiency in optical testing includes design, implementation, and troubleshooting of optical equipment.
- Ability to mentor junior engineers in optical tests and metrology.
- Experience being the technical lead of complex test development.
- Experience in data analysis for identifying trends and impartment opportunities.
- Experience working in a clean room manufacturing environment.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
