About The Role

Senior Network Engineers design and operate the network infrastructure connecting Volta's data centers, compute clusters, and corporate environments. This role is critical to ensuring high-throughput, low-latency, highly available connectivity across Volta's global compute fleet, from intra-cluster fabric to cross-site interconnects.

You'll partner closely with Data Center Delivery and Security teams to design network architecture for new sites and expansions, while owning the performance and reliability of the network estate we operate today.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Design, implement, and maintain routing, switching, and network security architecture across data center and corporate environments

  • Lead capacity planning and performance tuning for high-bandwidth, low-latency compute fabric

  • Own network monitoring, incident response, and root cause analysis for network-related outages

  • Evaluate and select networking hardware and vendors in partnership with procurement and data center delivery teams

  • Develop and maintain network automation, configuration management, and documentation standards

  • Partner with data center delivery and security teams on network design for new sites and expansions

  • Mentor junior network engineers and contribute to on-call rotations

  • Ensure compliance with relevant security, redundancy, and uptime standards across the network estate

What You Bring

  • 6+ years of experience in network engineering, including data center or large-scale infrastructure environments

  • Deep expertise in routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, VXLAN/EVPN) and network security fundamentals

  • Hands-on experience with high-density, high-bandwidth data center network fabrics

  • Proficiency with network automation tools and scripting (Python, Ansible, or similar)

  • Relevant certifications (CCNP/CCIE or equivalent) preferred

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and experience owning production incident response

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with delivery and security teams

  • Experience supporting GPU cluster or high-performance computing networking is a plus
