Job Summary
The IT Specialist is a full-time, fully on-site role based in Houston, Texas, requiring in-office presence five days per week to provide day-to-day enterprise IT support for North American employees. This position supports endpoint services, Microsoft 365 applications, account administration, asset management, and meeting support. The ideal candidate is a hands-on IT support professional with strong troubleshooting, communication, judgment, and documentation skills, able to independently resolve common enterprise IT issues and escalate appropriately when needed.

Compensation decisions are based upon the candidate level of skill, qualifications, geographical location and experience, and it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the posted pay range. Additionally, the position may also be eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation.
Duties & Responsibilities
· End-user Support:
- Provide IT Helpdesk & technical support to local users by phone, email or on-site visits.
- Diagnosing and resolving issues related to hardware, software, operating system, network connection, and peripherals (printers, meeting room IT equipment, etc.).
- Distribute IT equipment to employees, introduce software and hardware usage guides, and assist users in installing and configuring working applications such as email and VPN.
- Complex and cannot solved issues need to be escalated to UIH IT teams in timely manner.
· IT asset management:
- Assist the user department in the procurement, registration, allocation and asset list maintenance of IT assets.
- Be Responsible for the installation and configuration of the laptop operating system and software.
· Issue and information management
- Use tools or systems to accurately record IT consultations, requirements, issues, and processing details.
- Assist in the preparation of knowledge base documents (Knowledge Base) and frequently asked questions (FAQs).
· Office construction and business trip support
- Assist the headquarters IT team in local IT construction and optimization
Requirements
Education
· An associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education is required.
Experience
· Minimum 1 year of hands-on IT support experience in a corporate or enterprise environment.
· Experience supporting end users in a Windows-based environment, including desktops, laptops, peripherals, printers, and Microsoft 365 applications.
· Experience with user account administration and enterprise support processes.
Microsoft MCITP certification is a plus.
Required Skills or/ Attributes
· A minimum of 1 years of experience in IT support for laptops and enterprise networks:
- Familiar with basic wired networks, wireless networks, laptops, desktops, network printers and other IT equipment fault diagnosis.
- Familiar with Windows OS and laptops; able to install Windows and set up laptops for employees.
- Familiar with installing and configuring software, email clients (Outlook), VPN software, etc.
- Understand IT information security and ensure compliance with information security requirements.
- Understand the office IT low-voltage construction.
- Ability to apply flexible, logical, and correlation-based thinking to troubleshoot issues, connect relevant symptoms or clues, and identify root causes.
· Language Proficiency:
- Fluent in English and if knows Chinese mandarin is plus
Preferred Qualifications
· Patience, eagerness to learn, and a strong hands-on approach are required. Experience supporting IT asset management, service documentation, or knowledge base maintenance.
· Bilingual in English and Mandarin is a plus.
