Senior DevOps Cloud Engineer

Position Summary

LLH Healthcare is seeking an experienced DevOps Cloud Engineer to help build, automate, secure, and maintain our cloud infrastructure and application deployment environments.

The DevOps Cloud Engineer will work closely with software development, IT, security, and business teams to improve the reliability, scalability, security, and efficiency of our technology environment. This individual will be responsible for cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, monitoring, system performance, and deployment processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, maintain, and optimize cloud infrastructure and services.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate application builds, testing, deployments, and releases.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar technologies.
• Manage cloud environments within AWS, Microsoft Azure, or other cloud platforms.
• Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot containerized applications using technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Partner with development teams to streamline application deployment and improve the software development lifecycle.
• Monitor system performance, application availability, infrastructure health, and capacity.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident-response processes to proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, application, network, and deployment issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Implement cloud security best practices, including identity and access management, secrets management, vulnerability management, and secure configurations.
• Support backup, disaster recovery, business continuity, and high-availability initiatives.
• Maintain documentation for cloud architecture, deployment processes, configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and operational standards.
• Identify opportunities to reduce manual processes through scripting and automation.
• Participate in technology projects, cloud migrations, system upgrades, and new platform implementations.
• Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure systems meet organizational and applicable healthcare data-security requirements.
• Assist with production support and participate in an on-call rotation when necessary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
• 3+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Systems Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or a similar technical role.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure.
• Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or similar platforms.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform.
• Working knowledge of container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, including DNS, TCP/IP, firewalls, load balancing, and VPNs.
• Experience with monitoring and logging platforms.
• Knowledge of cloud security, IAM, encryption, secrets management, and security best practices.
• Experience supporting Windows and/or Linux environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within healthcare, benefits, insurance, financial services, or another highly regulated environment.
• Familiarity with healthcare security and compliance requirements, including HIPAA.
• Experience supporting highly available, customer-facing SaaS platforms.
• Experience with cloud migrations and modernization initiatives.
• Knowledge of database technologies and API-based integrations.
• Cloud or DevOps certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
