The Reliability Network Engineer is responsible for supporting the reliability, performance, and scalability of our service provider network. This role focuses on day-to-day implementation tasks, network turn-ups, and assisting with escalations. You will work closely with the NOC, Infrastructure, and Sales Engineering teams to deliver reliable and high-performing network services.

Responsibilities:
Network Turn-Up & Deployment:
Provision and turn up new fiber access sites and customer services.
Configure and test customer-facing services.
Change Management:
Implement approved network changes with a focus on minimizing risk and downtime.
Document changes and validate post-change success criteria.
NOC Support:
Respond to NOC escalations and assist in troubleshooting Layer 2/Layer 3 network issues.
Serve as an escalation point for trouble tickets that require engineering input.
Operational Excellence:
Maintain network diagrams, documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Monitor network health and work proactively to identify and remediate potential issues.
Collaboration:
Partner with Sales Engineering and Project Management to deliver enterprise/E-Rate solutions.
Collaborate with Tier 2/3 engineers on more complex issues and projects.
QualificationsQualifications
Required Skills:
Experience with routing and switching (Juniper preferred).
VLAN Trunking, Q-in-Q, and tunneling experience.
Hands-on experience with GPON and fiber builds is a plus.
Preferred Experience:
Juniper JNCIA-Junos or JNCIS-SP certification (or equivalent experience).
Familiarity with Microtik, Adtran, and ADVA platforms.
Familiarity with BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS, and VPLS.
Strong troubleshooting skills and a methodical approach to problem solving.
Soft Skills:
Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
