QA Engineer - Remote

Quality Assurance Engineer

Engineering ·  Turkey  ·  Full-time, remote

Why this role exists

Every day, thousands of people in the UAE and Saudi Arabia rely on Justlife to get things done at home—cleanings booked, maintenance sorted, life simplified. Behind that simplicity is a quality promise: the service they book works, the app doesn't break, the experience is seamless. When a bug slips to production, someone's day gets harder. When quality breaks down, trust breaks down.

This is a hands-on QA role that sits at the heart of scaling Justlife's engineering organisation. We're growing our development team and launching new product lines, which means testing complexity is rising fast. You'll own the quality gate across mobile, web, and backend systems—catching bugs before customers do, working shoulder-to-shoulder with developers to fix root causes, and building the AI-driven testing practices that let us scale without compromise. Your headline metric: “minimising defects that escape to production while identifying and resolving bugs faster as engineering capacity grows.”

You'll love this role if you...

• You think like a detective—you don't just run test cases, you ask "why would this break?" and find the edge cases nobody else sees
• You're genuinely curious about AI and automation, and you actively use these tools to work smarter, not just faster
• You thrive in startup chaos and actually enjoy changing priorities, evolving processes, and building things that didn't exist before
• You believe quality is everyone's job—you push back constructively on vague requirements, challenge assumptions, and help developers ship better code
• You measure yourself by outcomes (bugs caught, speed to resolution, process improvements shipped) not just activity

What you'll own

• “Drive defect escape rates down and resolution velocity up” by mastering Justlife's products, designing test scenarios across mobile/web/backend, and investigating root causes that developers can actually fix
• Participate in product and technical grooming—be the voice that asks "what could go wrong here?" and identifies risks before development starts
• Collaborate with our Automation team to expand test coverage, improve regression suites, and identify which tests should be automated versus manual
• Own the testing and verification for assigned Scrum commitments—regression, exploratory, integration, and end-to-end testing as needed
• Leverage AI tools and agents to accelerate test scenario creation, analyse requirements for gaps, and reduce repetitive manual work—then share what you learn with the team
• Build strong working relationships with developers and cross-functional partners (Product, Business, Automation)—be the QA engineer they want in their grooming sessions
• Identify and implement at least one AI-driven QA initiative by month six, measure its impact, and present it to the wider Engineering organisation

What tells us you're the one

• You've “measurably improved a quality outcome across a real product or service”—tell us about a testing initiative you led, an automation effort you contributed to, or a bug-finding approach you designed that moved a specific metric (defects caught, time-to-resolution, test coverage, automation percentage, whatever matters in your context)
• You've worked in a startup or fast-paced tech environment and can show us how you adapted to changing priorities and ambiguity without losing ownership
• You have 2+ years of hands-on QA experience with demonstrated strength in test design, bug lifecycle management, and root-cause analysis—we care more about what you've shipped than years on a CV
• You've used AI tools practically in your QA or development work (not just read about them)—show us a concrete example of how you applied AI to improve testing, analysis, or productivity
• You understand automation concepts and test frameworks (Playwright, Selenium, Appium, or similar)—direct automation coding is nice to have, but you must speak the language and can collaborate effectively with automation engineers
• You work in a startup or complex product environment where you've seen mobile, web, and backend systems interact, and you understand the testing implications

Why Justlife

• Scale and impact: Your testing covers thousands of daily app sessions, multiple platforms (iOS, Android, web), and backend services that power home services across two countries—the quality bar you set affects real people's days
• Real growth: You'll move from IC2 to IC3 and beyond by owning QA initiatives, building AI-driven practices, and becoming the go-to quality partner for engineering teams
• A collaborative culture: You'll work closely with developers, product managers, and automation engineers who actually listen to QA and see quality as shared responsibility
• Startup spirit plus stability: birthday day off (JustHoliday), free Justlife credits, referral bonuses, team experiences, and a fair, transparent performance system with recognition through our JustHeroes program
