Join the leading fintech company in the payments space and contribute to the development of our ever-expanding library of integrated product solutions. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned QA Engineer I to play a critical role in bringing our products to market. The QA Engineer role will interpret and translate product requirements into test cases and lead testing for multiple, complex B2B software projects, to ensure the highest level of quality control.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test reports for multiple software projects of varying sizes and technology platforms.
  • Help establish best practices for optimizing quality control and take the initiative to identify areas to improve internal processes related to product release management and bug fixes.
  • Liaise with product owners, developers, UX/UI designers, support analysts, and technical writers.
  • Document and inform the development team of defects with clear communication of quantitative and qualitative findings derived from test results.
  • Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts, and monitor efforts to resolve product issues and provide updates.
  • Ensure that the final product of every release satisfies the defined requirements and meets end-user expectations.
  • Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related science/technology-based discipline is highly preferred.
  • 0-2 years of hands-on experience in a manual and automation software testing role.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including analytical, organizational, and issue resolution.
  • Experience with payment or accounting systems (ERPs) testing preferred.
  • Experience working in a Scrum/Agile environment.
  • Ability to organize, self-manage, follow-through, coordinate, and prioritize.
  • Great problem-solving skills and a keen interest in new technology
  • Diligent and meticulous with high regard for best practices
  • Proficiency in creating test plans and defect tracking processes.
  • Experience with Jira and TestRail applications.
  • Proficiency in conducting black box and white box testing.
  • Proficiency in performing regression, ticket, and performance testing preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Working onsite is required.
