Job DetailsJob Location: Fremont HQ - Fremont, CA 94538Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: 4 Year DegreeSalary Range: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 SalaryJob Category: EngineeringSummary: This role is tailored for inspection of packaged integrated circuit (IC) components, and thermal analysis requires expertise in tool operation, data analysis, and root-cause verification. Core function on managing KLA’s ICOS application and product roles and operating specialized lab systems. Develops and coordinates activities of engineering division to create recipes, maintain, disposition of inspected electronic components by performing the following duties:   Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):   Responsible engineer for KLA’s ICOS inspection equipment Create new product recipes according to customers’ requests for inspection of packaged integrated circuits components Creating, maintaining, fine-tuning, and optimizing test systems to ensure accuracy, and repeatability Provide technical support to customer engineers. Analyzes and interprets test data and prepares technical reports defining standard operating procedures. Consults with management, production, and marketing staff to determine engineering feasibility, cost effectiveness, and customer demand for new and existing products. QualificationsEducation and/or Experience:   Bachelor’s Degree in: Electrical, Mechanical, Materials Engineering, or a related field. 0 to 3+ years of experience in Packaging, Assembly, and Product Engineer, or related positions.   Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:   Requires considerable knowledge of: modern office methods and procedures; modern business English, spelling and arithmetic; the operations of common office machines and equipment. Requires considerable ability to: use good judgment in making routine decisions in accordance with existing laws, ordinances, regulations and departmental policies and procedures; establish and maintain satisfactory working relationships with departmental personnel and customers.   Computer Skills:                                                               MS Office Suite (Excel, Project, Word, Outlook) Some knowledge of database software Programming languages: Python, C/C++, JAVA Unix/Linux/Window   Other Skills and Abilities:                                                               Direct experience with KLA ICOS platforms, IC packaging and assembly, thermal imaging/review tools. General knowledge - Basic Digital, Mixed-signal devices and electronics components Tools - DVM, Oscilloscope, Soldering Strong customer service and problem-solving skills Ability to handle multiple detailed oriented tasks Strong project management skills Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills   Physical Demands:   The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
