Network Engineer II

What you’ll own

  • Collaborating with network architects to design and implement functional company networks. 
  • Installing and configuring networking hardware. 
  • Creating and implementing network security measures. 
  • Managing and mentoring junior Network Engineering staff. 
  • Delegating networking maintenance tasks to junior staff. 
  • Dealing with escalated network support issues. 
  • Anticipating potential issues or bottlenecks and identifying possible solutions.

What we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or 5-10 years related field experience. 
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional certification or equivalent
    Strong understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols. 
  • Familiarity with network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers. 
  • Experience with network monitoring tools such as Wireshark, SNMP, and NetFlow. 
  • Understanding of network security concepts including firewalls, VPN, and access control. 
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V. 
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. 
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Occasionally will have to work in outside weather conditions. May also be required to use specialized equipment, machines, drive loading truck.  

Travel: Up to 70% required
