Network Engineer

Responsibilities

Work to resolve and diagnose computer server issues at scale.
Escalate issues and work with remote engineering teams.
Work within rack lifecycle processes with a focus on helping build out and support cloud scale compute and storage environments.
Work within Meta's ticketing system.
Serve as first point of contact for break fix technicians.
Maintain responsibility for assisting with projects (retrofits, new process details, etc.) and repairs throughout the data center.
Understand and debug hardware and Linux OS related issues.
Identify and help create documentation for the global data center knowledge base.
Assist with process improvements and best practices in data center operations.
Participate in on-call rotation (once a month on call for a week after hours, first point of contact).

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a Master's degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunications, Cyber Forensics, Security or a related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or infrastructure-related occupation
Requires 2 years of experience in the following:
Designing, deploying, and operating large scale networks
Configuring and troubleshooting routing and switching protocols (BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, MPLS, RSVP-TE, VRRP, HSRP)
Configuring and troubleshooting Multi-protocol BGP (MP-BGP)
Network protocols (TCP/UDP, DHCP, DNS)
Experience working in a multi-vendor environment with hands-on experience with networking hardware
Physical infrastructure design including structured cabling and fiber-optic cabling
Oversee multiple projects simultaneously and delivering against deadlines
Solving problems in a global team environment
IPv4 and IPv6

$147,490/year to $183,920/year + bonus + equity + benefits
