- Support the migration of devices such as security cameras, badge readers, HVAC systems, computers, printers, and other network-connected equipment.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues, including VLAN configurations, switch port assignments, and device communication.
- Plan and coordinate network changes and cutover activities with technical teams to minimize disruption to business operations.
- Create and maintain change requests, technical documentation, and migration records using established change management processes.
- Assist with network hardware installation, replacement, decommissioning, and equipment removal.
- Collaborate with network technicians, engineers, and other IT teams to ensure successful infrastructure migrations.
- Communicate project progress, technical issues, and potential risks to relevant stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in network engineering, enterprise networking, or a related infrastructure role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco enterprise networking equipment, particularly Catalyst switches.
- Experience supporting enterprise network migrations, infrastructure upgrades, or network refresh projects.
- Proficiency with network switching technologies, including VLANs, trunking, TCP/IP, and Layer 2/Layer 3 networking concepts.
- Ability to configure, troubleshoot, and validate Cisco network switches and connected devices.
- Experience troubleshooting network connectivity issues in complex enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with network change management processes, including planning, documentation, and implementation.
- Ability to read and interpret network diagrams, infrastructure documentation, and network configurations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, particularly when coordinating with cross-functional technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting network infrastructure projects within healthcare or hospital environments.
- Cisco certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE.
- Experience with large-scale network migrations involving multiple buildings, departments, or facilities.
- Familiarity with Cisco Catalyst 9000 series switches and enterprise switching infrastructure.
- Experience supporting network connectivity for building management systems, security cameras, badge readers, and other specialized network-connected devices.
- Experience using ServiceNow or similar IT service management platforms for change requests and documentation.
- Familiarity with network hardware decommissioning, structured cabling, and equipment room infrastructure.
