Position Overview
This position will support the network and security teams by installing, maintaining, and monitoring the organization's enterprise infrastructure. This role serves as an Advanced Tier 2 / Tier 3 resource and focuses on reliability, security, and performance of servers, workstations, security systems, IP phone systems, imaging systems, and WAN/LAN/WLAN environments.
Who You Are
- Professional with well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Experienced with installing, configuring, documenting, testing, and supporting infrastructure and application systems.
- Analyze scenarios using sound technical judgment.
- Ability to communicate and work cooperatively with team members and vendors.
- Organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Adaptable to changing conditions and manage competing demands.
What You Will Do
- Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot core business applications and infrastructure systems;
- Manage setup and configuration of security, networking, and application systems;
- Monitor system health and troubleshoot reported errors and alarms;
- Implement best practices for scalability, supportability, and performance;
- Serve as escalation support for complex infrastructure issues.
Education and Experience
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Advanced training in networking, servers, and endpoint management.
Technical Skills / Tools (Preferred)
- Active Directory
- VMware
- PowerShell
- IT certificates preferred (CCNA, Network+)
- Networking fundamentals: OSI Model; firewalls (Palo Alto); VPN; switching (VLAN, trunking, STP); routing (OSPF/BGP)
