Job Description

IDS is seeking a Network Administrator to support the operation, maintenance, and security of DoD network environments. The selected candidate will support network administration activities, configure and maintain network infrastructure, and assist with network security and troubleshooting requirements in support of mission operations.

Key Duties

• Support network administration activities.

• Configure and maintain network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls.

• Support VPN administration and maintenance.

• Perform network troubleshooting and diagnostics.

• Support network security practices and technologies.

• Utilize network systems management principles and tools.

Requirements

• Secret clearance.

• Associate degree in a related technical discipline or equivalent military training (e.g., 25B/H/N).

• Current certification that meets the requirements for DCWF Network Operations Specialist (441) at the Intermediate proficiency level.

• Acceptable certifications include Security+, CCNA, or Network+.

• Demonstrated knowledge of computer networking concepts and protocols.

• Demonstrated knowledge of cyber threats and vulnerabilities.

• Demonstrated knowledge of network security principles and architecture.

• Demonstrated knowledge of network systems management principles and tools.

• Demonstrated knowledge of network troubleshooting and diagnostics.

• Demonstrated knowledge of configuration and maintenance of network devices (routers, switches, firewalls).

• Demonstrated knowledge of network security practices and technologies (VPNs, firewalls, intrusion detection systems).

• Three years' experience in a senior technical role on a DoD network.

• Extensive hands-on experience configuring and managing Cisco network infrastructure (switches, routers, firewalls) and VPNs.
