Core Responsibilities:

Network Oversight/Maintenance

Directly oversees the performance of the various network components that best meet the needs of our business partners.

• Performs the day-to-day networking tasks to ensure network reliability, availability and serviceability with minimal interruption.
• Participates in network technology upgrade or expansion projects, including installation of hardware, software and integration testing, as well as coordinating these activities without negatively impacting stability.
• Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g. routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS)
• Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including patches, hot fixes, and security configurations
• Monitor availability, reliability, performance, utilization, trending and capacity planning.

Daily Operations

• Firewall, Routing, & VoIP rule changes/creation based on issues reported/new services requested
• Provide Level-2 support & liaise with other IT teams on problem resolution
• Create infrastructure documentation/SOPs as needed
• Participate in a rotating On-Call schedule

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• CCNA, JNCIA Or Equivalent Certification
• Associates in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent field experience
• Experience with VoIP (H.323 & SIP), Wireless, Network Security, and Retail brick and mortar environments.
• Experience in network monitoring, analysis, and configuration of network management tools
• 3 - 5 years of IT Help Desk experience
• 2 - 4 years of experience with at least (3) of the following: Cisco, Citrix, Meraki, Palo Alto, Fortinet, and SolarWinds

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Ability to sit at a workstation in an office environment for extended periods of time and work on a PC without limitations.
• Ability to move about, sit, bend, and squat in an office environment to access files and gather information.
• Ability to lift up to 30lbs of equipment.
