Reporting Hours: Eastern Standard Time (EST) Business Hours

Clearance: DoD Top Secret Clearance (Active or held within the last two years)

Geocgi is seeking a Mid-Level Test Engineer to support the U.S. Secret Service within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in a hybrid environment based in Washington, DC. This role focuses on automated and manual software testing supporting enterprise applications and operational systems. The ideal candidate brings experience in software quality assurance, automation testing, and defect analysis, along with the ability to collaborate across technical teams in a fast-paced environment.

This position is a Hybrid opportunity with the primary location of performance in Washington DC.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute automated and manual test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on requirements, user stories, and technical specifications.
  • Review technical documentation and quality specifications to ensure testing coverage and compliance.
  • Create detailed testing documentation supporting application validation efforts.
  • Execute automation scripts and support development of automated testing workflows.
  • Review back-end trace logs to identify application defects, errors, and exceptions.
  • Support QA processes across geospatial and non-geospatial applications.
  • Collaborate with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to support issue resolution and software quality efforts.
  • Mentor junior QA team members and contribute to testing best practices.

The following are requirements of the Mid-Level Test Engineer:

  • U.S. Citizen and Active U.S. Passport.
  • DoD Top Secret Clearance (Active or held within the last two years)
  • Master’s degree with 1+ year of experience, Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of experience, or 7+ years of equivalent experience.
  • Experience developing and executing software test plans and test cases.
  • Experience with automated testing tools and scripting.
  • Familiarity with SDLC and Agile development methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

The following are preferred of the Mid-Level Test Engineer:

  • Experience supporting geospatial or enterprise operational systems.
  • Familiarity with automation frameworks and QA best practices.
  • Experience supporting federal or secure environments.
  • Exposure to backend testing or scripting concepts.

The annual base salary range for this position is anticipated to be $90,000 $120,000 USD. The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position.
