JOB SUMMARY

The Junior IT Analyst supports the analysis, development, implementation, testing, documentation, modification, and ongoing support of PFC’s business applications, reporting solutions, internal IT tools, and core system-related processes. Working under the direction of IT Management and in coordination with senior IT staff, this position applies systems-analysis techniques and procedures to assist with evaluating user and business needs, supporting application and workflow improvements, and implementing technology solutions that support operational effectiveness and business continuity.

 

The position participates in the design, testing, configuration, modification, and support of internal and vendor-supported systems, applications, reports, scripts, and related technology processes while contributing to system enhancements, application releases, operational processing, and technology-related initiatives that support the reliability, security, and efficiency of PFC’s technology environment.

 

The Junior designation reflects a developing level of independence, assignment complexity, and experience with PFC-specific systems and applications and is intended as a progression toward broader systems analysis, technical ownership, and organizational technology support responsibilities.

Systems Analysis, User Consultation, and Requirements Support

  • Applies systems-analysis techniques and procedures under the direction of IT Management and senior IT staff to assist in evaluating user, application, reporting, hardware, software, workflow, and system requirements.
  • Consults with end users, department management, IT staff, and vendors to gather, clarify, and document functional requirements for assigned technology requests, application changes, reports, workflows, and system enhancements.
  • Assists with analyzing and translating user and operational requirements into functional specifications, testing plans, documentation, configuration changes, and recommended technology solutions.
  • Reviews user feedback, operational issues, and application performance to assist with identifying system enhancements, workflow improvements, and technical solutions.

Application Development, Modification, and Internal Systems Support

  • Participates in the design, development, documentation, testing, modification, implementation, and support of business applications, internal IT tools, reports, scripts, workflows, and system-related processes.
  • Maintains, modifies, tests, documents, and supports assigned internal applications and IT tools, including the in-house support ticketing system, local intranet, Money Certificate platform, and other internally supported or legacy applications.
  • Evaluates existing in-house or legacy applications and assists with maintaining, modifying, replacing, or improving those applications as assigned.
  • Develops and maintains reports, spreadsheets, queries, macros, scripts, dashboards, data extraction processes, and analytical tools to support business reporting, operational requirements, and workflow efficiency.

Core, Vendor Application, and Business System Support

  • Assists with implementation, configuration support, troubleshooting, documentation, testing, and user acceptance testing for CIF20/20, AS/400-related processes, Jack Henry applications, and other core or business system enhancements.
  • Supports implementation, testing, modification, and user feedback review for business applications, including but not limited to LaserPro, DecisionPro, CarmPro, Finastra, and other systems PFC may implement or support.
  • Assists with annual core system releases, application upgrades, and system enhancements, including review of release information, testing coordination, documentation, implementation support, issue escalation, and post-implementation validation.
  • Works with users, vendors, and IT staff to document system issues, validate changes, test application functionality, and assist with corrective actions, process improvements, or technology solutions.

System Operations and Processing Support

  • Performs or assists with End-of-Day, End-of-Month, End-of-Year, and other scheduled system processing, including monitoring, verification, troubleshooting, documentation, and issue escalation.
  • Provides technical and operational support for CIF20/20 and related host system processes, including system access, processing support, documentation, troubleshooting, and vendor coordination as needed.
  • Supports operational continuity of assigned systems by assisting with system monitoring, issue tracking, procedure review, and coordination of support coverage.

Documentation, Compliance, and Confidentiality

  • Creates and maintains IT documentation, including functional requirements, testing notes, procedures, system notes, user guides, project documentation, release notes, implementation materials, and troubleshooting records.
  • Maintains compliance with applicable company policies, procedures, information security requirements, access controls, and confidentiality expectations.
  • Handles confidential customer, employee, system, operational, and business information with appropriate discretion and in accordance with company policy.

User and Technology Support Services

  • Provides user and technical support for business applications, approved hardware and software, access permissions, and technology resources as part of the shared operational responsibilities of the IT Department.
  • Coordinates or assists with deployment and configuration of approved technology resources, including workstations, operating systems, user profiles, access permissions, and business software.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves technical, application, and system-related issues and escalates complex or sensitive matters as appropriate.
  • Supports deployment, testing, documentation, and implementation of approved software updates, technology changes, and system enhancements.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by IT Management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Technology, Computer Networking, or related field preferred. Equivalent experience, technical training, certifications, or a combination thereof may be considered.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support, systems support, business application support, reporting, application implementation, application testing, or related technology roles preferred.
  • Experience with systems analysis, user requirements gathering, application testing, report development, scripting, programming, data extraction, workflow automation, or internal application support preferred.
  • Experience supporting users in a business, financial services, or regulated environment preferred.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365, printers, scanners, multifunction devices, user accounts, access permissions, and general office technology.
  • Familiarity with core banking, AS/400, CIF20/20, Jack Henry applications, LaserPro, DecisionPro, CarmPro, Finastra, reporting tools, or related business systems preferred, but may be developed through PFC employment and training.
  • Ability and willingness to learn PFC-specific systems, operational processes, internal applications, security requirements, and financial services technology.

Ability to assist with systems analysis, user consultation, requirements documentation, application implementation, testing, modification, troubleshooting, and support of internal and vendor-supported systems.

Ability to develop, maintain, test, document, and modify reports, spreadsheets, queries, scripts, internal tools, workflows, and application-related processes.

Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with employees, vendors, department management, and IT staff. Ability to document issues, write procedures, prepare status updates, and explain technical information effectively.

Ability to review information, identify patterns, validate results, analyze user needs, support reconciliations, and troubleshoot operational or system issues.
