Job Description:

SUMMARY:

Responsible for the overall management, coordination, and strategic direction of IT Technician operations. This position ensures the effective delivery of technical support, maintenance, and operational services across the organization by overseeing IT Technician Supervisors and their teams. The IT Technician Manager ensures the smooth and secure operation of computer systems and infrastructure in accordance with established policies, regulatory requirements, and Gaming Commission guidelines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

•    Provides leadership and direction to IT Technician Supervisors and their teams to ensure efficient day-to-day IT support operations.

•    Develops and implements strategies to improve operational efficiency, service delivery, and technical support performance across all technician teams.

•    Establishes departmental standards, procedures, and best practices for IT support, maintenance, and incident response.

•    Monitors departmental performance metrics and works with IT Technician Supervisors to ensure service levels and operational goals are met.

•    Ensures the smooth and effective operation of computer systems and technology infrastructure in compliance with company policy and Gaming Commission regulations.

•    Oversees major IT maintenance initiatives, infrastructure upgrades, and operational projects, coordinating with vendors and internal IT teams.

•    Works with IT leadership to plan and prioritize IT infrastructure maintenance, lifecycle replacement, and operational improvements.

•    Ensures IT Technician Supervisors properly maintain preventative maintenance schedules and operational readiness of all technology equipment.

•    Provides guidance and support to IT Technician Supervisors in resolving escalated technical or operational issues.

•    Oversees vendor relationships related to IT maintenance contracts, hardware support, and service agreements.

•    Ensures proper documentation, asset tracking, and system security records are maintained as required by regulatory agencies.

•    Responsible for workforce planning, ensuring appropriate staffing levels within the technician teams.

•    Provides leadership in the recruitment, development, training, and performance management of IT Technician Supervisors.

•    Promotes the professional growth and development of IT Technicians through structured training and mentoring programs.

•    Coordinates cross-departmental communication to ensure technology services support operational needs.

•    Ensures excellent customer service standards are maintained across all technician teams.

•    Maintains consistent and regular attendance.

•    May assist with operational support during events as required by management.

•    Performs excellent customer service at all times.

•    Performs any reasonable request made by management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Directly supervises IT Technician Supervisors and provides indirect oversight of all IT Technicians.

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training supervisory staff; planning, assigning, and directing departmental work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining team members; addressing complaints; and resolving operational problems.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Sciences or Business Administration from a four-year college or university; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to & speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, and work with mathematical concepts such as     probability and statistical inference.

 
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions, Ability to interpret an 
extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

While performing the duties of this job, the Employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to risk of electrical shock and radiation.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.  When on the casino floor, the noise level increases to loud.  The Team Member may be exposed to a smoke-filled environment when on the casino floor.
