About the PC Technician Role

As a PC Technician at Trustco Bank, you aren't just fixing computers; you are the architect of productivity. You ensure our teams—from the local branch to the corporate office—stay connected, secure, and empowered. If you thrive on solving puzzles, mastering new hardware, and being the hero of the help desk, you belong here.


Key Responsibilities

  • The Connector: Monitor branch connectivity and deploy routers to keep our network pulse strong.
  • The Problem Solver: Tackle the "Big Four" (Computer, Phone, Email, Printer) via our ticketing system, ensuring no glitch slows us down.
  • The Builder: Assemble high-performance workstations for new team members and master the rollout of critical software.
  • The Gatekeeper: Manage system access, reset passwords, and serve as the first line of defense by spotting and reporting cybersecurity threats.

Qualifications

Required

  • Associate’s degree in Information Sciences and Technology or equivalent education/experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities with multitasking proficiency under tight deadlines.
  • Independent worker with effective teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.
  • Fluent in English; bilingual a plus
  • Access to reliable transportation 

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering Technology.

Schedule

Full-time position; Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm; (additional hours as required)

Physical Demands: 

Primarily sedentary; includes use of standard office equipment.

Travel: Occasional travel using personal vehicle; overnight trips may be necessary. Valid driver’s license required.
