POSITION SUMMARY
 
Provides hardware and software maintenance of personal computers and workstations, ensuring that employees can properly complete their assigned tasks; produces scheduled reports and maintains computer equipment asset inventories.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 
 
The following statements are intended as an overview of key responsibilities of the work for this position and are not all inclusive:
 

  1. Provides next-level guest service to internal and external guests. Demonstrates the Cedar Crossing culture in all interactions with guests and co-workers.
  2. Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information in accordance with established procedures with company policy and state regulations. 
  3. Ensures compliance with all department and company policies, procedures, internal controls, and government regulations. 
  4. Responsible for creating and fostering an environment of support and motivation for Team Members. 
  5. Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information in accordance with established Company Policy, State and Federal regulations. 
  6. Provides next-level guest service to internal and external guests 
  7. Responsible for creating and fostering an environment of support and motivation for team members. 
  8. Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information in accordance with established procedures with Company policy and state regulations. 
  9. Maintains security and always protects Company assets by adhering to Company policies and all state and regulatory compliance including Internal Controls Policies and Procedures, The Responsible Gaming Plan and Title 31, and performs all job duties in a safe, professional and responsible manner. 
  10. Maintains the daily activities of the IT department in the absence of the Manager as subject to established company policies and local, state, and federal regulations. 
  11. Creates and maintains file back-ups as scheduled or requested. 
  12. Produces system reports as scheduled or requested. 
  13. Maintains an accurate, up-to-date asset inventory of all computer-related equipment. 
  14. Maintains computer user access files. 
  15. Provides computer training classes. 
  16. Assists, guides, and instructs employees on functions of the computer as required. 
  17. Prepares daily reports as required by Company policies and procedures, and state gaming regulations. 
  18. Maintains a clean and safe environment. 
  19. Effectively handles guests and team members concerns and requests. 
  20. Attend required training sessions offered by the Company. 
  21. Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the department. 
  22. Take on and manage various projects as assigned to aid in achievement of evolving Company goals and objectives. 
  23. Report any acts of wrongdoing of which the Team Member may have knowledge. 
  24. Resolves problems that are within the position's scope of authority and recommends courses of action to resolve problems that are beyond the scope of authority to the position’s supervisor.
  25. Keeps position supervisor informed of relevant activities. 
  26. Other duties as assigned.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
 
Bachelor’s degree plus two (2) years’ related experience and/or training preferred; other combinations of education and experience may be considered. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, or equivalent applications and menu driven programs is required. Knowledgeable in creating spread sheets or similar data reporting.

REGULATORY AND COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
 
In addition to the other duties described herein, every Team Member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations:

  • Attend required training sessions offered by the casino.
  • Obtain and maintain required license(s).
  • Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.
  • Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the team member’s department.
  • Have knowledge of the Property’s programs to address problem gambling.
  • Consult with the appropriate individuals and maintain an effective system of written policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with gaming regulations and Internal Controls.
  • Take the appropriate steps to investigate exceptions, fraud, and potential violations and report such instances to the appropriate levels of management.
  • Report any acts of wrongdoing on behalf of any Team Member of which they have knowledge.


WORK ENVIRONMENT

Must have ability to:

  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Move around all work areas effectively and efficiently.
  • Work long hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Sit or stand for extended amounts of time; may crawl or climb.


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS: 

Iowa Racing & Gaming Commission License

Valid driver’s license with a minimum of three (3) years’ driving experience.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
 
No supervisory responsibilities.
