Job DetailsJob Location: Holdings - Dallas, TX 75254Job Category: Nation's Best Support CenterPart-Time IT Support Specialist Location: Addison, TX (Dallas Support Center) Schedule: Part-Time (Approximately 20 hours per week) Reports To: IT Director Join Our Growing Team! Nation's Best Holdings is looking for a Part-Time IT Support Specialist to join our IT team at our Dallas Support Center in Addison, Texas. This role is ideal for someone looking to build hands-on IT experience in a fast-paced business environment. While this position is designed with students and emerging IT professionals in mind, current enrollment in school is not required. We're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, learning new technologies, and delivering excellent customer service. As a member of our IT team, you'll help support more than 60 retail locations across the country, working alongside experienced technology professionals while gaining exposure to networking, hardware deployment, user support, inventory management, and enterprise technology. You'll enjoy: Hands-on experience supporting a growing multi-state organization Exposure to a wide variety of technologies and systems Mentorship from experienced IT professionals A collaborative, team-oriented environment Flexible scheduling that can accommodate school or other commitments Opportunities for future growth within the organization What You'll Do As a Part-Time IT Support Specialist, you'll provide day-to-day technical support to our corporate office and retail locations by: Responding to basic help desk tickets and technology support requests Troubleshooting computer hardware, software, printers, and peripheral devices Assisting with the deployment, setup, and configuration of desktops, laptops, and mobile devices Supporting VoIP phone systems, cellular devices, and RF scanners Imaging and preparing computers for new associates Maintaining accurate IT asset inventory and equipment records Assisting with technology upgrades and special IT projects Documenting solutions and maintaining technical documentation Providing outstanding customer service while communicating effectively with users across the organization Performing other duties as assigned What We're Looking For Preferred Qualifications Coursework or experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field Previous experience in a help desk, technical support, retail technology, or customer service role is a plus Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Basic understanding of Windows operating systems and computer hardware Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational skills with attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Positive attitude with a willingness to learn new technologies Dependable, self-motivated, and customer-focused Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the IT team Physical Requirements Ability to lift and move computer equipment weighing up to 30 pounds Ability to sit, stand, bend, and move throughout an office environment Ability to use a computer for extended periods Schedule Approximately 20 hours per week Flexible schedule during normal business hours Additional hours may be available based on business needs and projects Preferred (But Not Required) Candidates with experience or familiarity in any of the following are encouraged to apply: Windows 11 Microsoft 365 Entra ID (Azure Active Directory) Basic networking concepts Mobile device support CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certifications Why You'll Love This Opportunity This is more than a traditional help desk position.
