About the Role
Knighted is looking for an IT Support Specialist to join our IT team in Dallas, TX and support the IT department and greater Knighted team. This role goes beyond traditional first-level support; you'll serve as a reliable, self-sufficient IT Support Specialist who can independently diagnose and resolve a broad range of technical issues while contributing to the overall health of our IT infrastructure.
You will be empowered to leverage FreshService, our IT Service Management platform, to manage your ticket queue and collaborate with teammates to continuously improve service delivery. We’re looking for someone who brings solid hands-on IT experience, enjoys service support, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes genuine ownership of their work.
Being successful does not mean you are just closing tickets;you're proactively identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes, and the end-user experience. This position requires a foundation in IT Support, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability and interest in handling expanded responsibilities. Training will be provided to ensure skills and quality of work meet Knighted standards.
This role will be based out of Dallas, TX and require you to be fully in-office. Occasional travel to other office locations will also be required.
The pay range for this position is between $22 - $30/hr.
Responsibilities
- Provide timely, self-directed end-user technical support and problem resolution for hardware, software, networking, and mobile devices. Escalate complex issues as appropriate.
- Perform general IT support activities including hardware deployment, repair, and software installations for assigned locations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic network connectivity issues (LAN/Wi-Fi), assist with network health checks, and deploy networked peripherals.
- Conduct preventative maintenance of IT equipment to minimize downtime and extend asset life.
- Undertake regular, recurring, or periodic travel to business operations locations to provide on-site support and maintenance, alongside remote assistance as needed.
- Manage user accounts and access across technical systems, ensuring timely provisioning and revocation.
- Support the configuration and maintenance of hospitality and restaurant operations platforms in coordination with senior team members.
- Take ownership of asset management including inventory, auditing, tracking, administration, reporting, and process automation.
- Research and recommend technical solutions that align with business design and functional requirements.
- Author and maintain IT Best Practices and Procedures documentation.
Experience & Skills
- 2+ years of hands-on IT support experience in a professional environment preferred.
- Associate's Degree or equivalent industry certification (CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Cloud+, or similar) required.
- Proficient with Google Workspace applications.
- Capable of supporting iPadOS, macOS, ChromeOS, Linux, Windows, and Android devices.
- Ability to operate or quickly learn a wide variety of system and cloud-based applications.
- Must be at least 21 years of age to support on-site operations.
- Must hold a valid driver's license and be able to travel to local business locations.
Qualities & Preferences
- Familiarity with SaaS environments is a plus.
- Self-starter who takes ownership and accountability for all assigned projects and tasks with minimal supervision.
- Detail-oriented professional who acts with a sense of urgency and exercises sound judgment.
- Demonstrates an upbeat, positive attitude toward job responsibilities and the accomplishment of business objectives.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a professional demeanor and the ability to communicate effectively face-to-face, via email, phone, and instant messaging.
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
