Growth Opportunity | Technology Driven | Work With Purpose
Looking for an IT role where you can solve problems, support users, and work with technology across an entire organization?
The Opportunity
As an IT Support Specialist, you'll provide day-to-day technical support both remotely and on-site. You'll work directly with employees to troubleshoot issues, deploy and maintain equipment, manage Microsoft 365 services and devices, and respond to help desk requests.
This isn't your typical sit-at-your-desk-all-day IT position. You'll have opportunities to visit different Goodwill locations, troubleshoot technology firsthand, and work on a variety of systems and projects.
What You’ll Do
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, printer, and workstation issues
- Provide technical support in person, by phone, email, and other remote support methods
- Install, configure, deploy, and maintain computers and peripheral equipment
- Support point-of-sale (POS) systems and technology across Goodwill locations
- Administer Microsoft 365 user accounts, licensing, and service configurations
- Support Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive
- Enroll, configure, and manage devices through Microsoft Intune
- Deploy applications, policies, and security configurations
- Configure and troubleshoot mobile devices, printers, and scanners
- Complete and track help desk tickets within established service expectations
- Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge-base articles
- Identify recurring technology issues and recommend process improvements
- Travel to Goodwill locations as needed to provide on-site support
- Protect confidential and sensitive information while following IT security standards
Why You’ll Love It Here
- Hands-on experience across a variety of technologies
- Opportunities to expand your IT skills and experience
- Exposure to Microsoft 365, Intune, POS systems, networking, and endpoint support
- Career growth and professional development opportunities
- 20% employee discount
- Paid time off and floating holidays (with tenure)
- Training and development support
- Wellness services, life coaching, and education programs
- Mission-driven work that supports programs throughout our community
What We’re Looking For
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field — or equivalent education and experience
- 2+ years of IT support experience
- Experience troubleshooting workstations and POS systems
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and IT infrastructure
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- IT certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft certifications are a plus
- Valid driver's license, appropriate auto insurance, and reliable transportation
- Ability to travel between Goodwill locations as needed
- Ability to occasionally work nights, weekends, and on-call support
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. independently
- Commitment to a safe, drug-free workplace
