Job Overview

North Texas Custom Roofing and Construction Management is seeking a dedicated and skilled IT Support Specialist to join our growing team. This is a full-time position based in our New York, NY office. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for all IT-related issues, providing crucial technical support to our employees and ensuring the seamless operation of our company's technology infrastructure. This role is essential for maintaining our productivity and supporting the delivery of our high-quality construction management services.

Responsibilities

 

  • Provide first and second-line technical support to all staff, both on-site and remote, addressing hardware, software, and network-related problems.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, operating systems, and applications.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and passwords across various systems, including Microsoft 365 and Active Directory.
  • Respond to, prioritise, and resolve IT support tickets in a timely and professional manner.
  • Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving faults.
  • Maintain a comprehensive inventory of all IT equipment, software, and licenses.
  • Assist with the deployment of new technology and contribute to IT projects.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and user guides to support staff.

Qualifications

 

  • Proven experience in an IT support role, such as an IT Support Specialist or Helpdesk Technician.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 administration and support.
  • Solid understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • A relevant qualification or professional certification (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified) is highly desirable.
