Role:
As an IT Support Specialist at Mazuma Credit Union, you’ll be the frontline hero for all internal technology needs. You’ll provide high-quality, timely technical support and customer service to Mazuma team members across the organization. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with technology, and delivering exceptional service in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Serve as the initial point of contact for IT support through phone, email, and web-based channels.
Create, assign, and monitor service requests; manage work order systems efficiently.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software for employees and IT staff.
Image, configure, and deploy endpoint devices (laptops, desktops, tablets) to team members across the organization.
Onboard new employees by setting up accounts in Active Directory, email, and other essential business applications.
Travel to branch locations to resolve technical issues, perform troubleshooting, and replace or install hardware as needed.
Coordinate procurement, inventory, and vendor relations for IT equipment and services.
Maintain accurate asset management records for hardware and software; track software licenses and usage.
Utilize remote desktop tools to diagnose and resolve user issues.
Contribute to the development of IT documentation, FAQs, and knowledge base articles.
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies, including the Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act, and OFAC regulations.

High School Diploma
Preferred Education:
A two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school.

General awareness of desktop support best practices, troubleshooting procedures, and problem resolution techniques.
Physical Requirements:
Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs. Must be capable of climbing/descending stairs in emergency situations. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer, tablet, telephone, copier, facsimile, printer, scanner, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on a computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day. Frequent travel between branch locations for onsite troubleshooting, hardware support, and deployments required. Valid driver’s license required. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable, and timely attendance.
Work Environment:
Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in a climate-controlled office environment with minimal noise. Valid driver’s license required.
