Job Title: IT Support Specialist
Company: Living Water Clinic – Clínica Agua Viva
Location: Lindsay, California
Position Overview:
Living Water Clinic-Clinica Agua Viva is seeking a skilled and service-oriented IT Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will provide day-to-day technical support for hardware, software, network connectivity, and clinical technology across Living Water Clinic locations. This position serves as a primary point of contact for employee IT needs, resolves routine issues directly, and coordinates with external IT vendors for escalated or specialized support . You will work closely with clinical and administrative staff to troubleshoot issues, maintain systems, and support the implementation of new technologies. The ideal candidate is resourceful, detail-oriented, and committed to enhancing the user experience through responsive and knowledgeable IT support.
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day IT support requests across all clinic locations, troubleshooting computer, application, connectivity, printer, and peripheral issues..
- Identify recurring technology issues and recommend process, system, or training improvements that reduce downtime and improve the employee experience.
- Set up and maintain user accounts, access permissions, devices, and software, including IT onboarding and offboarding of employees, in accordance with company security policies.
- Manage user accounts, access permissions, and software updates in accordance with clinic policies.
- Monitor day-to-day network connectivity and technology performance, troubleshoot routine issues, and coordinate with external IT and cybersecurity vendors when escalation is required.
- Document, prioritize, track, and resolve IT support requests through the organization’s ticketing process, and maintain documentation of recurring issues, procedures, equipment, and resolutions.
- Document technical procedures, support tickets, and resolutions in an organized manner.
- Provide technical support for AthenaOne and other clinical and business applications, including troubleshooting user issues and assisting employees with new or updated technology.
- Respond promptly to IT support requests and ensure minimal disruption to clinical operations.
- Support organizational cybersecurity, data protection, backup, disaster recovery, and HIPAA security initiatives in coordination with leadership and external technology partners.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of new technology projects.
Education:
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or an equivalent combination of relevant education, certifications, and professional experience; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified) a plus.
Prior Experience:
- Minimum of two (2) years of IT support experience in a professional setting; healthcare or clinic environment preferred.
- Experience supporting healthcare technology or EHR/EMR systems, particularly Athena/AthenaOne, strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and healthcare data security standards.
Skills:
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred.
- Strong customer-service orientation and ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to employees with varying levels of technical proficiency.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and respond to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism when handling confidential information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Windows operating systems, and networking basics.
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.
