IT Support Manager

Location: Amarillo, TX
Employment Type: Full-Time | Exempt

About the Role

Herring Bank is seeking an experienced IT Support Manager to lead our IT support team while providing hands-on technical expertise across the organization. This role is ideal for a strong technical leader who enjoys mentoring others, managing projects, improving processes, and delivering exceptional customer support.

You'll work closely with the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to oversee daily IT operations, support enterprise technology initiatives, and help shape the future of our IT support organization.

What You'll Do

  •  Lead and mentor the IT Support team, providing coaching, guidance, and performance management. 
  •  Oversee daily IT support operations and ensure timely resolution of technical issues. 
  •  Manage and support enterprise LAN/WAN infrastructure, servers, workstations, and related systems. 
  •  Collaborate with business leaders to identify technology needs and implement effective solutions. 
  •  Lead IT projects from planning through implementation. 
  •  Develop and improve IT support processes, standards, and documentation. 
  •  Assist with budgeting, vendor coordination, and technology planning. 
  •  Ensure compliance with IT policies, procedures, and security standards. 
  •  Support hardware, software, networking, and system administration activities. 
  •  Promote a positive customer experience through responsive and professional technical support. 
What We're Looking For

  •  High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred. 
  •  Minimum of 8 years of enterprise IT experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  •  Previous leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience preferred. 
  •  Strong knowledge of: 
    •  Windows operating systems 
    •  LAN/WAN networking 
    •  Server administration 
    •  Hardware and software support 
    •  Microsoft technologies 
    •  IT troubleshooting and problem resolution 
  •  Experience managing multiple projects and priorities. 
  •  Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills. 
  •  Strong customer service mindset with the ability to build relationships across the organization.
