Job Summary:
CNPC USA is actively seeking creative, innovative, best-in-class experts to join our growing team. This is a unique opportunity for an IT Support Analyst to support daily IT operations.
This position is responsible for help desk support, new computer setup, hardware and software troubleshooting, printer support, user account administration, IT equipment management, network/internet troubleshooting, NetSuite user maintenance, and communication with external IT vendors. This role requires a hands-on person who is confident troubleshooting problems directly and taking ownership of issues from start to finish.
The ideal candidate will need to have practical IT support experience, a strong problem-solving mindset, and the ability to investigate and figure out issues independently when clear instructions or outside support are not available.
This position will report to the Director of IT.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Assuming and performing other duties and/or responsibilities as requested.
Help Desk and User Support
- Provide daily help desk support for employees.
- Set up new computers, laptops, monitors, printers, scanners, phones, and other IT equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve computer hardware, software, printer, scanner, network, email, and access issues.
- Install, configure, and update business software, engineering software, and infrastructure software.
- Support employee onboarding, role changes, and offboarding from an IT perspective.
- Document common issues, troubleshooting steps, solutions, computer setup procedures, internal IT procedures, equipment assignments, software licenses, and IT asset records.
Hardware, Printer, and Software Management
- Manage and maintain company IT equipment, including laptops, desktops, servers, printers, scanners, network devices, and related accessories.
- Troubleshoot printer and scanner issues, including driver installation, network printer access, print queue problems, user printing permissions, and basic hardware issues.
- Track IT assets, software licenses, renewals, equipment assignments, and service records.
- Support engineering software installation, licensing, access, and vendor communication.
- Maintain business and infrastructure software, including Microsoft systems, Cisco network equipment, NetSuite, and other company applications.
Microsoft AD / Entra / User Administration
- Maintain daily user account changes in Microsoft Active Directory / Entra ID.
- Create, update, disable, and remove user accounts for new hires, role changes, and terminated employees.
- Manage user permissions, security groups, shared drives, email access, and basic security settings.
- Assist with Microsoft 365 administration, including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and related services.
NetSuite Administration Support
- Support daily NetSuite user maintenance.
- Add, update, disable, and remove NetSuite users based on employee changes.
- Assist with role changes, access troubleshooting, permission updates, and user support requests.
- Coordinate with internal users and vendors for NetSuite-related issues when needed.
Network and Infrastructure Support
- Monitor and troubleshoot daily internet, Wi-Fi, VPN, and network connectivity issues.
- Help maintain Cisco firewall, Cisco switches, wireless access points, and related network equipment.
- Support stable daily operation of company internet and internal network services.
- Troubleshoot basic server, network, and infrastructure issues.
- Escalate critical infrastructure issues to IT vendors when needed and follow through until resolution.
Vendor Communication and Project Support
- Communicate with IT vendors for support issues, service requests, quotes, licensing, renewals, and new IT projects.
- Coordinate with vendors on troubleshooting, equipment replacement, infrastructure upgrades, and software support.
- Help gather technical information needed for vendor support and project planning.
- Follow up on open-vendor issues to make sure problems are resolved properly.

Qualification(s):
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in: Information Technology; Computer Science; Information Systems or a related field or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
- Experience in IT support, help desk, desktop support, system support, or a similar role.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for Windows computers, software, printers, network access, and user accounts.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Entra ID, email, and user permission management.
- Ability to set up and support laptops, desktops, printers, scanners, monitors, and common office equipment.
- Ability to communicate clearly with employees, managers, and external vendors.
- Ability to document issues, solutions, equipment records, and procedures.
- Hands-on attitude with the ability to investigate and resolve issues independently.
- Willingness to learn new systems and take ownership of daily IT operations.
- Must be eligible and provide valid documentation to work in the United States of America.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with firewall, switches, access points, or other business network equipment.
• Experience with NetSuite user administration or ERP system support.
• Experience supporting engineering software, license servers, or specialized business software.
• Basic knowledge of VPN, firewall rules, network troubleshooting, and server environments.
• Experience working in a small or mid-sized business IT environment.
• Experience coordinating with IT vendors, software vendors, internet providers, and hardware support providers.
Working Environment(s):
This job operates in a professional office, laboratory, shop, and warehouse environment and routinely uses standard office equipment, inspection instruments, computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and/or related equipment.
