Job Duties

The purpose of this position is to provide overall direction and technical support for the maintenance and development of Information Technology and Security Systems for support of all hospital users. The equipment and applications specialist is responsible for supporting the facility in Computer Equipment management, managing basic network functions, Duress Systems support, Cell Boosters Support, Digital Camera Systems support, equipment purchases, modifying system configurations, changing system/equipment specs, defining attached devices. This also includes Security system network administration, Networking of equipment, performance monitoring, and Lock hardware support. This position will manage the resources and budget necessary to maintain and support system growth. Support includes computers, printers, locally developed applications and the creation, suspension and deprovisioning of user accounts. Provides assistance and training for the use of computer hardware and software as needed. This position will also need general Information Technology knowledge.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronics or other related field.

Experience in a hospital setting in Security Systems, access control systems, digital camera installs and configurations and hospital duress systems.

Prior work experience with some or all of the following systems: Automated systems, personal computer and network technologies, databases, learning management systems, online learning tools, mobile devices, printers and peripherals (PDA’s, scanners, modems, CD/DVD drives, etc.), a variety of software applications (e.g., word processing, spreadsheet, email, Intranet, web browsers, HTML editors, and image manipulation software).

Additional Considerations

College-level coursework or training in a computer related discipline.
