Summary: The IT Specialist is responsible for monitoring, maintenance, configuration, and ensuring the reliable operation of IT systems including servers, network infrastructure and business applications.
Day to day RESPONSIBILITIES
- Respond to tier 2 helpdesk tickets to ensure that customer needs are fulfilled in a timely manner. Escalate tickets as appropriate to other team members. Follow up to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Troubleshoot network, server and other infrastructure issues.
- Perform preventative maintenance activities including network, server and application updates.
- Manage and maintain backup and recovery systems and associated documentation.
- Assist with configuration and installation of network, server, voice and security infrastructure.
- Manage and maintain Exchange Online and related email services.
- Create, review, and maintain IT documentation and processes as appropriate.

REQUIREMENTS
- Experience supporting IT needs of a multinational manufacturing environment.
- Ability to perform basic network and server troubleshooting.
- Experience working with a multi-site Active Directory environment.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft O365.
- Experience monitoring and maintaining backup and recovery systems and documentation.
- Skills with troubleshooting VPN, wireless, security, and telecommunications.
- Experience working with virtualization is a plus.
- Ability and willingness to work with global team.
- Possess basic project management skills and ability to work independently
- Team player with good verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be flexible and willing to adapt to changing requirements and schedules, including occasional evening/weekend work as job duties require.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
- S in Computer Science or equivalent required. Professional experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of IT experience, networking and server experience preferred.
- Cisco Network and/or Microsoft certifications are a plus.
