GENERAL PURPOSE:
The IT Manager II (Batch Systems Delivery) position is responsible for the design,
implementation, and optimization of batch processing systems. It requires strong technical
expertise and a deep understanding of batch job scheduling and performance optimization.
This role involves partnering with cross-functional teams, including Business Intelligence, IT,
and other operational and strategy teams, to understand the needs and deliver critical programs.
They will build and maintain strong relationships with key business stakeholders to ensure
alignment on project scope and requirements. The Manager will oversee the delivery of
projects, ensuring high quality, efficient, and scalable batch operations that support business
objectives. They will also serve as the primary contact for the business regarding new requests,
IT projects, and demand management - developing a clear understanding of targeted outcomes
and expected value. This role requires to drive continuous improvement initiatives and enhance
system reliability.
The base salary range for this role is $125,400 – $214,200. The base salary range is
dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications,
relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. The range listed is just one
component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards vary by
position and location.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Act as Solution Manager for Batch Systems IT projects, including large initiatives;
manage portfolio product roadmaps, resource, scope, and timeline commitments
• Collaborate with the cross-functional teams to gather requirements, assess technical
feasibility, translate them into a well-architected solution, and drive project timelines.
• Keep up to date with emerging technologies around process automation to drive system
improvements and optimizations.
• Ensure that individual project teams are constructed and staffed to deliver commitments
effectively
• Drive timely and proactive issue identification, escalation & resolution
• Demonstrated ability to learn and acquire new technologies in the areas of process and
workflow automation
• Manage budget, resources, and schedules across multiple projects and internal and system
integrator staff. Coordinate with other programs and IT’s horizontal services
• Identify, manage, and communicate issues, risks, and dependencies to project
stakeholders and sponsors
• Act as an expert on what is happening in the Batch Technology landscape and bring that
expertise into Ross business and IT discussions

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Undergraduate degree in information systems, business administration, or a related
technical discipline. An advanced degree in a similar field is preferred.
• At least 8 to 10 years of experience in IT delivery with progressive responsibility and
influence. Experience leading projects that involve cloud migration or business
transformation or batch orchestration is preferred.
• At least 5 years of retail IT experience, with specific systems knowledge of batch
technology, retail system landscape, retail data, and operations.
• Experience with configuring and operating modern, process and workflow automation
solutions such as BMC.
• Conceptual and practical understanding of IT Infrastructure, products, and services, such as
application security, network protocols, and other technologies.
• Ability to analyze and creatively solve complex technical problems
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and able to work effectively with VP
and above executives
• Ability to work in a group setting and independently. Experience managing teams, including
subcontractors and offshore resources.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Working knowledge of Batch systems, specifically in a Retail context including typical
Retail applications, data, and interdependencies. Working knowledge and experience in
managing execution and support of batch applications and systems.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:
Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer.
Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person
meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc.
Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.
Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
Some travel may be required
This role requires regular in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction,
meetings and collaboration, client support, mentoring, coaching, and/or feedback. However, this
role can perform duties effectively using a combination of in-office and remote work. #LI-Hybrid
