Position Summary

We are a nonprofit association of approximately 35 employees seeking a talented and driven IT Manager to lead our technology operations. This is a high-impact, growth-oriented role for a seasoned IT professional who is ready to take full ownership of our technology environment, champion AI-driven modernization, and serve as a strategic partner to organizational leadership.


Position Details

Reports To: Vice President, Finance and IT

Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt

Work Arrangement: On Site

Salary Range: $75,000 - $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience



Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Operations

  • Ensure system uptime, security, and performance across all platforms and end-user devices
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for internal helpdesk and technical support needs

 

Cybersecurity

  • Develop, implement, and maintain cybersecurity policies, procedures, and controls
  • Monitor for threats and vulnerabilities; lead incident response as needed
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy and security best practices relevant to nonprofit operations

 

AI & Digital Innovation

  • Lead the organization's AI initiatives, identifying and implementing tools that improve operational efficiency
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and provide strategic recommendations to leadership
  • Champion digital transformation efforts and build staff technology literacy

 

Website & Digital Tools

  • Ensure that the company's website and digital tools are secure, highly available, optimized for performance, and seamlessly integrated with other core business systems
  • Manage integrations between CRM, AMS, LMS, and other member-facing platforms

 

Data & Database Management

  • Manage organizational databases and ensure data integrity, accessibility, and security
  • Support reporting and analytics needs across departments

 

Vendor & Contract Management

  • Manage relationships with outsourced MSP and other technology service providers, consultants, and vendors.
  • Negotiate and oversee software licenses, SLAs, and IT-related contracts

 

Budget Management

  • Develop, manage, and report on the annual IT budget
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising capability or security
  • Build business cases for technology investments and present to leadership

 

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate closely with staff across all departments to understand technology needs and deliver effective solutions
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on technology strategy



Qualifications

Required

  • 5–7 years of progressive IT experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management capacity
  • Experience leading or managing AI adoption and implementation initiatives
  • Proven track record in cybersecurity planning and implementation
  • Experience managing IT budgets and vendor relationships
  • Familiarity with CRM and database management systems
  • Strong project management skills; experience with tools such as Asana, Monday.com, or similar
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative, service-oriented mindset

 

Preferred

  • Experience working in a nonprofit, association, or mission-driven organization
  • Familiarity with Association Management Software netForum (AMS) and Learning Management Systems Docebo (LMS)
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified, PMP, or similar)
