This is a hybrid position working 3 days a week in our Legacy West Support Center located in Plano, Texas.

About the role

The DevOps Manager – Azure & ServiceNow is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of DevOps practices across cloud infrastructure and application delivery platforms. This role focuses on Microsoft Azure DevOps services, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and ServiceNow DevOps / ITSM integration to enable faster, reliable, and secure software delivery. The DevOps Manager will manage a team of DevOps engineers, collaborate closely with application, security, and operations teams, and drive cloud‑native best practices aligned with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

DevOps & Cloud Leadership

  • Lead and manage a team of DevOps engineers supporting Azure‑based platforms and services.

  • Establish and enforce DevOps standards, tools, and best practices across the enterprise.

  • Drive adoption of cloud‑native and platform engineering principles in Azure.

  • Act as the DevOps subject‑matter expert for Azure and ServiceNow integrations.

Azure DevOps & Automation

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.

  • Oversee Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as ARM templates, Bicep, and/or Terraform.

  • Ensure scalable, secure, and highly available Azure environments.

  • Optimize cloud cost management (FinOps) and performance.

ServiceNow Integration & ITSM

  • Lead integration between DevOps pipelines and ServiceNow (Change Management, Incident, Problem, Release).

  • Implement and manage ServiceNow DevOps modules, change automation, and governance controls.

  • Align DevOps workflows with ITSM, ITOM, and CMDB processes.

  • Ensure audit readiness, traceability, and compliance through ServiceNow.

Security, Reliability & Compliance

  • Embed DevSecOps practices into CI/CD pipelines (SAST, DAST, IaC scanning).

  • Collaborate with security teams on identity, access, and policy management.

  • Ensure compliance with enterprise standards (SOX, SOC, ISO, etc.).

  • Improve platform resiliency, monitoring, logging, and alerting.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

  • Partner with application teams, architects, security, and operations leaders.

  • Translate business objectives into technical DevOps roadmaps.

  • Provide metrics and reporting on deployment frequency, lead time, reliability, and MTTR.

  • Mentor and develop team members through coaching and performance management.

 

Knowledge, skills & abilities requirements

Required 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

  • 8+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Platform Engineering.

  • 3+ years of experience leading DevOps or cloud teams.

  • Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure.

  • Expertise with Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD, and automation pipelines.

  • Experience integrating ServiceNow with DevOps workflows.

  • Strong understanding of cloud security, governance, and networking concepts.

  • Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes/AKS).

 

Preferred 

  • Azure certifications (AZ‑104, AZ‑305, AZ‑400).
  • ServiceNow certifications (CSA, DevOps, ITSM).
  • Experience with Terraform, Ansible, Helm, or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of SRE practices and observability tools (Azure Monitor, App Insights).
  • Experience in regulated enterprise environments.

Working conditions & physical requirements

This will be a hybrid role required to be onsite at the corporate office on specified days. The work environment generally involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, retail stores, and residences or commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lit, heated, and ventilated.

The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking, standing, bending, and occasionally requires carrying, moving and setting up of computers, for example desktops, monitors, printers, and other small hardware in the testing lab.
