Position Summary
The Desktop Support Intern will assist the IT team in providing entry level phone support to end-users, password reset, ticket entry, login issues, and maintaining IT assets. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience in IT support operations. This position is normally a 3–4-month position with the opportunity to extend depending on student availability and scheduling.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Telephone triage and orchestration.
- Document IT support requests, resolutions, and procedures using the ticketing system.
- Provide first-level technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
- Assist with troubleshooting operating systems and application issues, including Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, and other enterprise software.
- Assist with computer equipment moves.
- Perform special projects within other areas as requested.
- Adhere to BSA policy and all other bank policies.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and general troubleshooting methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting Office 365 products.
- Experience using a help desk ticketing system for tracking support tickets.
- Experience with patch management tools and Windows imaging tools.
