Job Summary/Description:  

WBTV is seeking an IT professional who enjoys owning systems end-to-end, supporting staff and hardware across multiple departments, and partnering closely with IT and Engineering leadership to improve reliability, security, and service delivery. The role offers hands-on involvement in supporting business-critical systems, infrastructure upgrades, and uptime, local and cloud initiatives, cybersecurity, and ongoing modernization of the IT environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, proactive communication, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Duties/Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Proactively maintain the health, performance, and security of WBTV’s server, workstation, and computer environments, ensuring physical and virtual system reliability and compliance with organizational standards.
• Manage and support core infrastructure with Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, Office 365, PowerShell, Windows OS, and Windows Server OS.
• Execute strategic and operational projects from planning through implementation, ensuring objectives are delivered on time and within the scope of standards and guidelines.
• Troubleshoot, resolve, and document technical issues, implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime and improve operational efficiency.
• Adapt effectively to changing business and technology requirements, perform additional responsibilities as assigned, and continuously identify opportunities to improve processes and challenge existing practices constructively.
• Collaborate with Gray Media Corporate staff, managed service providers, and external partners to ensure efficient operations and performance expectations are consistently met.
• Participate in a flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotation responsibilities as needed.

 Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred.
• Minimum of three years of proven experience with Broadcast IT, including the administration, monitoring, and support of servers and end-user computing environments.
• Hands-on experience with management and security platforms such as CrowdStrike, Rapid7, Splashtop, and MDM solutions.
• Hands-on experience with RJ11 and RJ45 cable management, LAN/WAN support of Cisco Switches via CLI, and Access Point support via Cisco Meraki Dashboard.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office 365, Windows OS, Windows Server OS, and VMware.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience of service desk concepts and toolsets, including HaloITSM.
• Experience with automation and production systems, including Bitcentral, Crispin, ENPS, Harmonic, Ross Overdrive, Telestream FlipFactory, and Vizrt.
• Experience with video editing software and workflows, including EDIUS, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Dropbox.
• Proven ability to lead projects through all phases, including initiation, planning, execution, and implementation.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple complex tasks and projects, while ensuring successful completion, both independently and within a collaborative team environment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to a wide range of audiences.
