About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Engineer to join our Operations organization and take ownership of the tools that power Product Lifecycle Engineering.

In this role, you will support and evolve the platforms that enable our development teams to design, simulate, validate, and release products efficiently. You’ll partner closely with engineering, manufacturing, and business operations to ensure our PLM, CAD, CAE, and requirements systems are robust, integrated, and optimized for efficiency.

What you'll do

  • Lead administration and configuration of PLM/PDM systems, such as Teamcenter, 3DEXPERIENCE, Windchill, and OpenBOM

  • Support and maintain ECAD/MCAD environments such as SolidWorks, NX, Altium, and Cadence

  • Manage CAE tool infrastructure and licensing for platforms including Ansys, STAR‑CCM+, and COMSOL

  • Oversee requirements management tools such as Polarion, Codebeamer, and Jama

  • Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering groups to understand tool requirements and improve workflows

  • Develop and maintain integrations between PLM, CAD, CAE, and requirements systems

  • Deploy, configure, and optimize high‑performance workstations for engineering teams

  • Implement best practices for data management, version control, and change processes

  • Troubleshoot complex issues across applications, licensing servers, and compute environments

Who you are

  • 3–7+ years supporting PLM, CAD, or CAE systems in an engineering or manufacturing environment

  • Strong understanding of product development workflows and configuration/change management

  • Hands‑on experience administering one or more PLM/PDM platforms

  • Proficiency with ECAD/MCAD or CAE tool deployment, licensing, and troubleshooting

  • Familiarity with Windows and Linux system administration

  • Experience with scripting or automation (Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc.)

  • Ability to work cross‑functionally and communicate effectively with engineering teams

  • Strong problem‑solving skills and a proactive approach to system reliability and performance

Onsite Expectations

We're building a physical product and most of our team is onsite. In order to properly support the team, we're expecting this role spends most of their time in our San Jose, CA and Fremont, CA locations.
